Rovere Castle, Rocca di Mezzo

Rovere, a hamlet of Rocca di Mezzo, of ancient origins, preserves the remains of the castle, of which the date of its foundation is uncertain, placed on a rocky spur like a triangular fortress with circular towers at the top. It is possible to visit the Archaeological Museum with the finds from the excavation (ceramic pottery, metal finds such as spikes, hinges, glass material, Renaissance majolica, etc.).
The most important finds are kept in the Department of Antiquities of the "G. D'Annunzio" University of Chieti.
